Merida Inc developed out of a dream our founder had to provide adults with language learning opportunities that are accessible, inclusive, and empowering. We are creating safe spaces where adults who want to learn English as a new language feel they belong.

Adults bring a lifetime of experience into any learning environment. We believe English learners are the experts and should inform all decision-making concerning their educational endeavors. After all, it is their journey.
Inclusion
A sense of belonging is vital to the success of anyone learning something new. In a world that sometimes makes us feel excluded, we strive to cultivate a place where adult learners feel at home.
Identity
Where we came from is just as much a part of us as where we are now. We encourage our learners to embrace themselves as they navigate their new lives.
Multilingualism
We first played, dreamed, wondered, and loved in our mother tongue. It is a powerful component of our identities and should not only be used in our learning journeys, but encouraged by our teachers.
Being multilingual is beautiful and something we believe must be promoted.
